80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha. The Tempranillo is from 40 y.o. vines grown at 500m. above sea-level in Rioja Alta, the Garnacha coming from 60 y.o. vines on more sandy, alluvial soils in Rioja Baja. Aged for 16 months in American and French oak, with a further 6 months in bottle. Displaying a rich cherry colour, it has clean fruity aromas, a hint of balsam, and a long, fruit-based palate. 14% abv.
