Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta, Piedmont

A boutique winery with centuries of tradition in wine making in the heart of Monferrato region in Piedmont. With the help of famous wine maker Dr Donato Lanati, the current owners, Filiberto and Francesca Massone Incisa della Rocchetta, produce some of the best Barbera in Piedmont. Their Sant'Emiliano Barbera d'Asti Superiore and Valmorena Barbera d'Asti are internationally acclaimed. Also very appreciated is the white Roero Arneis and Pinot Noir Marchese Leopoldo. For wine connoisseurs we recommend you try their Grignolino and Colpo d'Ala, a blend of Barbera and Merlot. In 2021, the winery Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta launched a Limited Edition label of their Sant'Emiliano Barbera d'Asti Superiore in support of the Royal Opera House. Ledbury Wine Cellar is proud to facilitate the delivery of this Limited Edition label for the UK market at no additional cost.

The cellars located in the charming village of Rocchetta Tanaro in a stunning farmhouse dating back to the 19th century. Once housed in the family castle in Rocchetta Tanaro, in 1995 the Marchesa Barbara Incisa della Rocchetta moved the cellars to the current location, restoring the beautiful building that is a masterpiece of Piedmont rural architecture. The current location not only hosts very modern wine making facilities behind the old facade but also an elegant B&B with beautiful rooms and a cooking school for tourist wanting to discover the area.

The vineyards extend to almost 20 hectares on the hills of surrounding the village of Rocchetta Tanaro. Some of the Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta vineyards are 70 years old and these are the grapes for their top of the range Sant'Emiliano Barbera d'Asti Superiore.

Champagne Francis Orban

Our beautiful love story with Champagne began four generations ago in 1929. My great-grandfather Léopold Orban, a pioneer in the champagne-making process in the village, decided to start producing the wine. He was followed by my grandfather Gaëtan Orban and my father Pol Orban. A lineage is born!

Our vineyard lies in the heart of the Marne Valley, the birthplace of champagne, 15km from Epernay, champagne’s capital city.

The village is atypical from several points of view, enjoying ideal exposure and sunshine, exceptional clay-limestone soil and a perfect microclimate to grow Pinot Meunier, our vineyard’s flagship grape variety.

Today, still spurred on by the desire to satisfy you, you will find in the Francis Orban Champagne range a natural elegance and an inherited, authentic and genuine skill specific to our family and our terroir.

Ballykeefe Single Estate Whiskey

Ballykeefe Distillery is proudly owned and managed by the Ging Family who trace their unbroken farming lineage as far back as written records exist. Morgan’s fascination with the shared history of Irish farming and Irish Whiskey, led him to dream of one day diversifying his farming enterprise with the addition of a distillery as was so common centuries ago. It took 25 years of research and painstaking effort to bring his dream to fruition. He was meticulous in his vision to build a distillery which would be a worthy modern day descendant of the glorious history of Irish Whiskey. Therefore, with sustainability and protecting the environment central to his planning, no expense was spared to achieve the highest quality standards in every aspect of the distilling operation and tourist experience. The support that Ballykeefe Distillery is now providing to local sporting and cultural activities, is a reflection of Morgan and Anne’s deep roots and long standing commitment to community based activities.

Bodega Eduardo Garrido

The Eduardo Garrido Wine Cellar is located in Abalos, (La Rioja), Spain, at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains in the heart of Rioja Alta. For over 500 years, Abalos and its surroundings have been home to the best quality vineyards and wines in Spain. Eduardo Garrido, proprietor and winemaker, has maintained the abiding sprit of the family wine cellar of La Rioja, preserving and carrying on the unique teachings of his father, Vicente, who founded the winery in 1923.

In addition, the Eduardo Garrido Wine Cellar is complimented by its own small wine museum featuring tools and memorabilia of Rioja winemaking and viticulture.

Our production is small: around 20.000 liters of wine per year from 2 hectares of local vineyards of unique characteristics; one with aged vines for our Reserva and Gran Reserva wines, and the other with younger vines for the Joven and Crianza wines.

We age our fine wines in approximately 100 barrels of French and American oak.
